In this unique setting, the city celebrates the arrival of the new year with an event that combines music, art, and conviviality, paying homage to Venice’s extraordinary theatrical and musical tradition.

An opportunity to share emotions, beauty, and hope, saying goodbye to 2025 and welcoming 2026 with harmony and renewed enthusiasm.

As per tradition, the New Year’s Concert offers a musical program in two parts: the first is exclusively orchestral and the second is dedicated to melodrama, with a selection of arias, duets, and choral passages performed by the soloists and Chorus of the Teatro La Fenice.

Each year the Concerto closes with two celebrated pieces by Giuseppe Verdi, cornerstones of Italian musical heritage: the chorus “Va’ pensiero sull’ali dorate” from Nabucco and the festive toast “Libiam ne’ lieti
calici” from La Traviata.
